Curious? Just Ask!
Former Hobokenite currently living in Secaucus. Born & raised Jersey girl. Stumbled across a career path in the non-profit world and now I'm here for good. Celebrating my first year in my 30s. Married to my best friend. A strong weakness for shopping, like all other girls, and a passion for eating. Yes, I admit it. My yorkie is my world and my hair styles change like the weather. I'm fully aware that I never really know what I'm doing, so I just try to look my best while doing it. Navigating life one day at a time.

Her Own Cake Boss

I have a friend in the cake business. This is an awesome type of friend to have.

I mean, besides wedding cakes, you’re probably going to have occasions that you’ll want a cake or cupcakes for at least once a year. Easter, Birthdays, Anniversaries, MOTHER’S DAY. Hint Hint.

I live in Hoboken (duh) home to the now famous Cake Boss, Buddy Valastro. Every morning, and especially around holidays or days off from school, you can find a line of people down the block waiting to get in. It’s quite the scene.

My cake friend used to work for Buddy and is now starting her own business. She’s beyond talented and I’m not just saying that because she’s my friend. I’m not that nice of a friend. I kid.

Anyway, no need to take my word for it, just check out the sketch of the cake for my upcoming engagement party - Topsy Turvy heaven!

We just finalized the flavors for it today ..

Coconut cake with one layer of pina colada buttercream and one layer of passion fruit buttercream.

I salivate just typing those flavors. YUM!
